Classmate parties
And so it begins. Classmate birthday parties. She attended one a year ago and we got invited to another one. I love meeting the parents and seeing kids ania is familiar with. She loves birthday cake or as ania says happy birday cake
And I finally met 'Talia' (Natalia), her bff at school. Ania talks about her a lot and her mom told me Talia does the same at there house. She's the little girl at the bottom left of the photo.
We have another party next weekend. Well it's close to our house so we know where ania is having hers this year...
Turner Cookoff
Maris invited us to Juans company cookoff. They kept telling us it's like the one at the rodeo but smaller. Well we've never been to the rodeo one. Doesn't matter. We had a great time with music, food, drinks and friends.

Cameron at 5 months
Where is the time going? Cameron is 5 months now and her personality is really developing.
- grabbing and holding on to rings, blankets and such
- cooing, I swear she's said maaaa and yaaaaa
- started her on rice cereal and slowly introducing food. So far she's tried sweet potatoes, squash, broccoli and carrots. She's not a fan of broccoli or carrots but we'll keep trying.
- not sleeping through the night. Wakes up at least once because she's super hungry.
- doesn't need to be rocked. I wrap her and put her in her crib. She cries at max 10 mins before she falls asleep.
- she's rocking back and forth. Hasn't rolled over yet but definitely can't leave her alone
Ania at 2.5 years
I have a two year old that thinks she's three. I'll post up a video where I ask hold old she is and tells me shes 3.
Ania is definitely independent but at times has her moments. Her personality and words at 2.5 years:
- says no a lot
- going through a tantrum phase when we tell her she can't do something.
- loves soup
- feeds herself most of the time
- tells her sister "cameron so cute"
- putting three words together
- counts, says abc's and loves singing
- loves ring around the rosey
- starting to 'help' me in the kitchen
- mommy loves dancing so we play a game of stop and now go
- loves coloring
Words with Ania:
Chunky = chocolate
Manana = banana
Juicy = juice. Infact a lot of words end in 'y'
mennicin - medicine
Fowler - flower
Dogdie - dog
Coffee - mommy /daddy wine or beer
Ewufant - elephant
Black cookie - chocolate cookie
Baby = cameron
Free = three
I'll add more once I can think of them

Breakfast and babies
I remember going through childhood photos and my parents would line me up next to the other kids...usually during christmas, some picnic, etc. Well, those kids I was standing next to have their own kids now and what do we do? We line up our kids and make loud noises hoping to get a smile from each kid.
I hope when these kids are older, they'll look back at these photos and laugh with their friends in the picture.
And p.s. when you say your going out with these people in this picture, I know what youre up to! The mommies have been there!
I'm becoming crazy
Using coupons and my extra reward bucks, I got all of this. I paid 28 bucks out of pocket but received 18 extra bucks back. So really I paid 10 bucks. Haha

4am conversations
Cameron is bringing it upon herself to not sleep through the night yet. The good thing is that I feed her, change her and put her back in the crib and she goes to sleep. This homegirl doesn't like to be rocked.
Ania is coughing so she is sometimes waking up. Last night, she wanted mommy so we put her in our bed and she sleeps next to me. She then thinks its ok to have a full blown conversation with me at 4am. "Mommy sock off, near you." "put sock on mommy" I find sock and put it on her. "Mommy sleeping? " yes ania, go back to sleep. "Mommy, daddy sleep" yes, ania, go back to sleep. The best part is trying to wake her up. -insert sarcasm-
Ps. I know there are MANY typos on the last post. Too lazy to fix them

Shut the F*** up
Yes, I admit I have uttered those words under my breath today. Ania and Cameron you will understand one day when you have your own childreb and they are crying non stop and sick. I love both of you but this is how the day went.
Day 3 of Ania having a fever. I knew it was because of a tooth and also confirmed when I brought out the flash light. Her fever was going up and down and so was her mood. Jeckel and Hyde came to mind. I had to have extra patience today because the mood is unintentional. And Tom is her knight and shining armor because Ania doesn't even want me. Which I'm okay with. I have my moments with her.
Then there's Cameron. She cried just as much. She barely slept and felt like all she wanted was to be carried around. As Tom put it "trapped in our own home" because it was raining a lot today and one kid was sick and the other finicky.
The moment. Mid afternoon. Ania was having a mood and crying...then Cameron started crying. I was preparing Cameron's bottle and all of a sudden a whisper came out of my mouth. Shut the F*** up. Of course they didn't hear but this was a hard week with Tom being sick, not getting much sleep, Ania teething and work being really busy. I musy say through it all, Cameron has a smile on her face. I hope she knows what family she was brought into. Ania is a tough girl playing and trying to be herself while having a 103 fever on and off. I even made her play dough and she didn't want to play.
Thank goodness Tom got better because I would have had to call in reinforcements. And to make myself better, I had three cookies.

My poor baby
First daddy, now Ania. She had a temperature of 99 but I still took her to school. I'm such a bad mom but I had to be at work in the morning and my mom was working. My excuse...my boss is on spring break and I had to cover a few meetings for him. I picked her up at 11:30 because she had a fever of 103. I gave her meds and she fell asleep and took a nap. I think she's teething because she said her mouth hurt. Well she took about an hour nap and I made her a bed on the sofa while she watched cartoons...I hope she feels better tomorrow.

Sick daddy
Tom was feeling sick last night and in bed all morning and day. Thankfully, Cam let me sleep so I woke up early to get ready for work then deal with the kids.
Ania woke up crying for daddy as usual but calmed down to eat yogurt and have chunky milk and elmo. Cameron woke up so I went to get her. All of us sat on the sofa while I gave Cameron a bottle. After Cameron ate, I fed Ania. She's in a phase where she wants me to feed her yogurt. Probably because I feed Cameron her rice cereal. Changed Cameron then put her on the playmat. Then changed Ania. Ania was my big helper because she helped wash her face and brush her teeth. I packed up the car and got the girls ready. We were out of the house by 7:20. Not bad!!!
Then while at work, school called but I couldn't pick up because I was on a call so they got Tom. Tom then calls then texts me telling me he's picking Cam up because she's been crying and not eating. Ugh. Call school 10 mins later and forgot to tell Cameron's teacher that she ate at 645...anyway, by the time I call, Cameron is sleeping. So she stays put. I call Tom and tell him to go back home and get back into bed.
All of this before 9:15.

Spring forward weekend
Ania and Cameron slept at my parents house friday to saturday. We picked them up Saturday morning because I missed them so much. When we were trying to leave, Ania wanted to stay...luckily she decided to come with us to lunch.
We checked out a burger place in city centre called grub burger bar. Really kid friendly and good burgers. I'd go back. Then, for dinner, Ania helped me make pizza for pizza night. She loved it and mommy was stress due to the mess. But she made dinner and ate it up!
Sunday - we just went to target and was on a mission to go to church at 5:30. Unfortunately, we didn't make it because I was exhausted. Not an excuse but it was for me!
Rockets
My work puts together events at times and this was one I knew Tom would enjoy. We went to the Rockets vs. Pacers game on Friday. It was my first Rockets game and it was definitely a good first game.
My work provided us with a fan experience pass where we were able to see the players practice on the court. Pretty cool and our seats were in the 102 section which was a nice view.
A few photos from our date night..we eveb saw hakeem the dream. Pretty exciting

Woodlands Half Marathon
Pre kids, I would run 6 miles a day and 10 miles on the weekend to get my day started. I could run a half a little under 2 hours.
Post kids, I'm lucky to run 2 miles and anything over 5 is a struggle. I average 2.5 hour half.
I signed up for the woodlands half when I was still preggers with Cameron. It was my motivation and I finished in 2hrs and 42 mins. I wasn't going for time. I just wanted to finish!

First day of school
Today was Cameron's first day of school. It wasn't as bad because I've gone through the process already. I knew Cameron would be fine. So I drove the girls to school and Tom followed because I had a lot of stuff and wanted the see both girls go to school for the first time.
I took a photo of a sight I've never seen. When the kids arrive they go to the music room, grab a book and read. Quietly. Wow. They can get kids to do that? Wow. Ania started out in the infant room so I was familiar but almost forgot some things. And explaining Cameron's habits was bizzare because I'm already thinking "wow, my 4 month old already has habits?" It was definitely nice putting Cameron in school a little older because we put Ania in school at 10 weeks. We had no choice. But it turned out great and we like the school
Catching up with Ania
Texan day was last friday and I wanted to get boots for Ania so we went to Target and they even had her size. Did she want them? Nope! I guess it saved me 20 bucks.
Ania at 29 months:
- still not potty trained and refuses to learn
-speaks in third person
- is putting 3 words together
- can count to 10 most of the time
- sings twinkle twinkle, abcs and loves playing ring around the rosy
- huge daddy's girl
- very independent and wants to do everything herself
- she loves playing with hair and even fixes daddy's hair. She plays with mine when I'm carrying her
- getting used to baby sister
- her friends are Natalia and Yash.
Ania terms:
Linkle = twinkle
Banana = manana
Helicopter = hellolopter
Here = what is that?
Flower = fowller
Speaking of funny story. I picked Ania up last week and saw her class walking. She is waving to me saying bye mommy. Her classmates are waving hi to me. So the teacher grabs Ania and her jacket and walks her toward me. Her friend Natalia starts crying screaming out Ania's name. She's such a cute girl. The teacher had to console Natalia and hold her back from chasing after Ania. All while Ania didn't turn her back. Her teacher was telling me that Natalia is like this with Ania all the time. Too cute and I couldn't stop laughing!!
Cameron at 4 months
Same picture. Different expressions.
Cameron is now 4 months plus one week. She weighs 15lbs 10oz and wearing 6-9month clothes. She's a happy smiley baby and is moving side to side. We can't leave her unattended anymore. We started with rice cereal yesterday and she ate it like a champ. Still not sleeping through the night, waking up once. I don't have to rock her to bed as much. She'll cry it out for 5 minutes and knock right out. Ania entertains her and smiles and is fixated with Ania.
She's a good baby and growing too fast!
