Making my morning 6/26/13- late post

Today I had a doc appointment for my 20 weeks ultrasound so Tom and I dropped Ania off at school together. Walking from the car to the building, I always tell Ania to watch where she's going because she like to observe what's around her rather than what's in front of her. There was another car unloading kiddos and she stopped and started staring at them. I look back and it was a little boy about her age so I'm guessing they were in the same class. She stres and then starts waving to him. The little boy stares back and starts smiling so big. It was the cutest thing I've ever seen. Walking back, we were talking to the boys dad and just saying how they're so funny. One of the many things to make my morning.

Onto the doctors appointment. Everything checks out healthy and we're having another girl! It's exciting again to have a baby around and to wonder how Ania will be with her little sister. I already have a name picked out and found a rug that fits perfectly for the nursery. Exciting.

20 weeks

And I'm walking like a hippo. Ania helps me up from sitting on the ground and she boycotts me every now and then.

Baby is healthy and is moving a lot!  The placenta is toward the back so I'm feeling her more than I felt Ania. It's kinda cool because she moves during the ultrasound and I'm like I felt that!

Interesting way to spend my weekend

This weekend, Tom and I are in New Orleans as a "baby moon" and relaxation before the baby comes and he starts studying. Anywho, I had a whole food tour planned that started yesterday. The first place was so good!  However, today I'm stuck in bed because the baby didnt agree with me. I know it's just me because Tom feels fine. So the food tour for me has been adjusted to bread, water and not as seasoned foods.

Thanks baby #2, I heard you loud and clear!

Society today

Why do I feel like in today's society, information is getting shoved down my throat? It's as if one persons feelings gets hurt and all of a sudden a law is created to fix the situation. Or someone makes a mistake and next thing you know they're apologizing for it. Why?

I grew up in a society where people ha opinions and didnt need to apologize. Or I could say Merry Christmas and not have a governor sign a piece of paper allowing it back in schools. Or a parent being an authority figure and not "allowing" if your hold to choose if they want to be a boy or girl. I will raise my kids as independent , free thinking females and what those choose as decisions they can make on their own, so be it and ill be behind them.

I stopped listening to the media because I'm just tired of hearing another sob story about someone's feelings getting hurt. And the whole gay marriage I feel is getting pushed down my throat. Again, I don't care. It's ones personal life and they choose to live it the way they want. Now I hear Disney is making a story about two princes? I'm not sure if I want to expose that to my kids just yet. I mean, we recorded looney tunes and decided Ania is not of age to watch those yet because it made me a little uncomfortable watching some scenes with her.

I'm on a soapbox today, as you can see, because there's just tmi going around in this world.

I went to public school but I don't know if it's because I'm a parent now I'm really thinking about where I want Ania and baby #2 to learn.

Choosing her own clothes

Tonight after bath, I put on Anias pajamas and she decided she wanted to also put on a skirt. Okie dokie. She wore it until bedtime. Here she is on the verge of crying because she got a tiny boo boo.

Anias also getting quite the tan. She goes swimming Monday, Wednesday and Friday at school. On the weekends too. Sunscreen is her best friend. What they need to invent is the sunscreen/bugs pray combo. I should check the Internet to see.

She's saying more words by the day, we sing in the car and we sing Itsy bitsy spider and wheels on the bus with the hand motions and loves it! We let her watch super why as its pretty calm and I like it. Lol

Take away the sunshine and butterflies, Ania gets into temper tantrums too where she drops to the floor, screams and cries. It's so fun!

Oh the life of a 19.5 month old...weird, just thinking about it I'm 19 almost 20 weeks and Ania is 19 almost 20 months ( at the end of this month). Cool!

"You're expecting? Lucky."

Those are the words from my male coworker today when he found out I was expecting. He was telling me him and his wife have been trying but no luck yet. I felt bad and the only thing I could tell him was I hope you guys try to relax. He goes on and says "yes, that's what I hear."

Everyday I am blessed with my baby boo and baby on the way.

Lazy Saturday

Ania and I spent the entire Saturday together. We started off at the pool. She really loves swimming and we stopped by chick fil a to grab lunch. Tom was painting her room finally and I'm very happy with the end result

I decided to nap with Ania because being pregnant and carrying a 23 pound child can be tiresome. Tom captured us sleeping. We slept in the tv room since her room was still drying.

The last photo is her always point to her diaper saying poo poo but really there's nothing

Father's Day

We spent Father's Day cooking Tom a pancake breakfast and the family came over for a BBQ

Deja vu

Lately, Ania wants to do things herself, which we let her but I just have to redo it. So it's like deja vu all around the Gramza household.

Ania likes to brush her own teeth, really just eating to toothpaste. I go over her teeth again to get the spots she's missed

Ania likes to try and put on her socks and shoes. She'll sometimes remove her socks I just put on and try to put them on again. I let her if there's time, if not i redo it.

Those are just to name a few. I have to say, I think this is my favorite age besides the diva tantrums for no reason, but she's communicating more and getting more of her personality to shine.

She says poo poo and points to her diaper but sometimes she's right, others I think it's pee pee. Which makes me wonder when does potty training start? Ugh. I just got her off the bottle an to a sippy cup and I was planning on switching her to a big girl bed because well need to crib for this one. Just patience and baby steps...

Doctor swap

I have a doctor appointment and I'm meeting the delivery doctor for the first time. So strange.

I found a doctor when I moved to houston but when I found out I was preggers, she told me she stopped delivering but could continue to see me until the first trimester, which I did. Then when I found the new doc and hospital I'm planning to deliver at, I had to need with a nurse practitioner first. So weird. I guess I'm just really missing my doctor in NYC. She was the best! She stayed for most of my delivery and hangout with me and I hear that doctors don't actually show up until the pushing starts. Talk about first date nervousness. Like I thought I'd get taken. To dinner first!

A whole new experience in a city I grew up in. It's like I have no idea who houston is!

Picking your battles

Instead of fighting her, this is where she prefers to drink milk. Outside on a lawn chair

Finding your right angle

Apparently Ania is still working on it, along with an unimpressed photo with daddy

Catch up

Most of last week and the weekend we stayed at my parents house because our ac was broken. Ania enjoyed playing hookie from school and going to the mall with her laking and baying. I got a break from giving her baths because my mom did it and I didn't have to pick her up from school. All nice stuff but definitely happy to be back home.

Also, I thought my mom was going to retire and watch baby #2 but this past weekend I asked her again and she hesitated. Then I responded back with I guess this one will be in daycare to and her response. Yeah. So much for retiring. Mom and dad get the best of both worlds. They get Ania when they want but they still do their own things. I'm sure it's better that way. Lol but it's so funny how mom changed her mind again. Woman isn't retiring anytime soon. And it makes sense the woman works part time and usually gets like a consecutive week off at a time.

Pregnancy #2 is moving along. I'm 17 weeks tomorrow and trying to maintain my diet. I've given myself one cheat meal for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Well see how this pans out because I already used that card today with a croissant sandwich and sweet potato fries for lunch and a cheese burger, Cheetos and a cupcake for dinner. Real healthy. Well see how it goes...

Virtual fortune tellers

These are always fun. Baby center is telling me were having another girl. :)
