Through the looking glass

So today was baby girls first day of daycare... She took it really well and so did mommy and daddy. It's nice to know she's at a good place with good people.

Here's a snapshot of me taking a photo of her from the outside. Notice the reflection of the playground, trees etc.

Crying is for babies.

Gramza and I were just talking and he noticed something...

I didn't cry when I was proposed to
I didn't cry at my wedding or reception
I didn't cry when my daughter was born

But... When Vernon Davis scored the winning touch down for the 49ers and ran down the sidelines crying and hugged his coach... I wept like a baby.

What is wrong with this picture?

I'm Snow Cool

So tomorrows the big day...baby girls first day of daycare. Im getting everything ready for her: crib sheets, outfits, blankets, bottles, Diapers, wipes, labeling, everything.

I dong start work til late next week so were transitioning this week to get both of us used to a new situation. We're going to drop her off in the morning and I'm going to pick her up 10 mins later! Ha jk! But by lunch I'll pick her up. The good thing is that I can do some me things before I pick her up...gym, massage, haircut, shop. Just to name a few :) we shall see

One potential outfit...

Um, good morning!

Baby girl woke up at 5am and Gramza took this shift. I walked into the baby's room this morning and found this...

You are my sunshine...

My only sunshine

If only my format worked on this iPad. So the days are coming to a close and I'm back to work. I must say its a bittersweet feeling. Bitter being I won't get to hangout with my baby girl and see her change from day to day. Sweet being I'll hopefully get my groove back, regain adult interaction and my high pitch conversations can come to a close from 8-5.

I was feeling under the weather and it sucked being in a confined room while Gramza is taking care of baby girl and I hear her cooing. I think it was just my body being super exhausted. Now back in "my grind" having my tea and just resting before the head of household wakes up. But at least she smiles when I get her in the morning.

Well starting next week will be the transition period for daycare. I'll take baby girl for little bits at a time to get her and I used to the separation. I'm thinking her heart will break but the teachers have told me its usually the mommies that break down and the babies are fine... I'd rather have that be the case...

Below is a photo from last week and I can't believe she'll be 11 weeks on Monday! Time is flying and I'm not ready to catch up. But to end, she makes me happy when skies are gray.

Day 3

Hopefully she's getting used to the freeing feeling. She's going to be ready for daycare!! And her mommy is crazy!!

What's better?

I'm trying to document patterns with baby girl to when she gets tired... Well she sleeps at about 11:30 on average but sleeps til 6am, so what's better: baby sleeping at 8 or later but through the night? Who am I kidding, she laughs in my face if I try to put her down at 8!

On mommy news, my back is killing me so onto yoga stretches I go...and a heating pad. I must stay that baby furniture (swings, chairs, etc) is not ergonomically friendly. I must remember to lift from the knees! I'm also trying the early morning workouts every other day and the narcotic person in me figures I should wake up early now so I'm used to it by the time I go back to work, which is in 3 weeks.

At 9 weeks: smiling, sucking on hands, trying to grab, following with eyes, sleeping about 5hrs straight, eating 6oz of feeding, eating formula/breastmilk

Ps apologies for the typos in the last blog

Here we are practicing naps/unswaddled in the crib, which lasts about 10 minutes...

And on one of our days out.. She went for the puppy look
